Kicking off this week is the Hong Kong Security/Safety trade-show. This is a very big event in Hong Kong. Along with the UK, China is the worlds
leader in public closed circuit television and public safety. Hong Kong is a vast city, with large amounts of people living in very congested areas.
The use of cameras, high-tech equipment to promote safety is always the theme. We are looking to visit several manufactures to start start new trade
relationships. We plan on bringing even more data and better price to many categories within our new and young website. We are also approaching the
summer and like a few of our last post we are working as fast as we can to get every directory working and producing great content to help you in

In the past month we have had several orders where people have gone to our online store and placed a "phone verification" order. There is a reason for this!
Due to past security reasons, identity theft, charge-backs and many other malicious behaviors; we are not accepting credit orders direct. We certainly can
process credit cards, but we are looking to move away from automated payments. If you are serious about your surveillance needs, you will place temp orders,
call us and verify your application and payment options. We are bringing paginated grids to help speed your shopping and browsing experience. We should have

March, 30 2012 ISC West has come and past again for the new 2012 year. There was a very large turnout. We were very busy meeting, talking and collecting data from vendors and exhibitors from all over the world. We collected a vast amount of data and new trends. In the next 2 months DSCE is going to covert as much data as we can online. Some of the new things hitting the market is analog to IP. This seemed to be the solution American and Chinese/Korean manufactures are promoting. Another great technology developing from a Korean company is 5x, 10X, and 20X optical zoom camera boards integrated in regular bullet/ir cameras and many other models. We were able to setup a relationship and plan on bringing this technology for sale to our website. Stay tuned for more information and updates from the Hong Kong International Surveillance/Security Expo in April 2012.
March, 24 2012 Got a new layout grind coming to all categories of our estore. This is a move we are taking to try and make navigation and learning easier. There is over 1000 types of equipment within our product catalog and warehouse. So we decided to change the price and symmetry of equipment. We are still trying to determine if we want to put a model number and quick title around our widgets. The idea has a quick shopping overlay that shows up and let's you see product description and specs. This keeps the page from refreshing, going to another page etc. The best thing about the new grid is that it shows the price in a bigger format and nice green color.
March, 22 2012 Headed out to the ISC West Surveillance Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our goal is to go and find the most reputable surveillance and CCTV manufactures in China, Korea, Japan and even some U.S. distributors. February, 13 2012 It has been sometime now since we've posted an update. With the holidays well behind us, Discount CCTV Equipment.Com has much to report. First, we have a new website coming to our network. Discount Surveillance Equipment.Com is underway and we are still working with adding and organizing all the equipment, cameras, dvrs and accessories for this and our new addition website. We are planning on changing the look to our website. We are going to add a search engine, better menus and drop-down navigation. CCTV is a huge subject and we are determined to get all of it covered for your convenience. Stay tuned!
December 7, 2011 Just an quick update, we are adding cctv dvr menus to the website this week. So, all menus we will work and after that we are going to add the products by type and price. November 30, 2011 Well it has been a great month and we have done quite a bit of updating. The latest developments are we have added more content topic directories or sections to our cctv blog. We have also added many targeted pages in our cctv systems section. We are going to be doing merchandising and setting up more system deals. We have the ability to offer some real deals; deals that cannot be found anywhere else on the planet. November 1, 2011 New addition to the website and e-catalog! We have integrated our cctv lenses to the database. We are featuring lens that primarily fit cmount cameras. Cmount cameras do not come with lenses and naturally, that is due the degree of flexibility they offer in distance and field-of-vision. We have both fixed lenses and varifocal lenses. Fixed lenses will require that you have one mm setting. On the other hand, you have varifocal lenses that enable you to have just one lens and manually adjust the zoom and focus to the get the distance and of angle-of-view you need. October 22, 2011 Lately we have been updating the website to expand on our product cataloguing. We have a long way to go and we are about 15% complete.
